My number one objective is to minimize the
total cost of risk for all of my clients. But it’s just
as important to provide adequate protection for their exposures
to loss. This is how we minimize the total cost of risk.
My relationship with each client cannot be
linear. It must be far reaching and encompass all aspects
of their program, and the benefits can have very tangible
results. In the first year of coverage with a new insurer,
one client of mine incurred a $1 million auto accident claim.
Normally, the insurance provider would be inclined to drop
coverage in fear of similar payouts.
Because of my work with loss prevention, and
one-on-one contact with the provider, the client was not dropped.
Beyond that, the client didn’t even receive a large
price increase.
Working with clients and providers often yields
