Having served as a board member for a number of hospitals and other healthcare entities since 1981, I know how board committees work and how decisions are made.
When it comes to the medical field, part of providing a client with the best solution is understanding healthcare governance and how organizations operate. Recently, a large healthcare system wanted to implement a risk management program, but was unable to get the board to proceed. As a member of other boards, I knew the inner workings and was able to use my knowledge and experience to successfully help move the project forward.
My father, who was also in this business, told me that the only thing you must maintain is your integrity. That philosophy has served me well during my career, as I have never strayed from doing what's best for my clients. To effectively serve my clients, I must know the ins and outs of the healthcare industry, including trends, increasing pressures and potential exposures that organizations may face. My experience and perspective allows me to provide clients with the most accurate and reliable solution for their medical malpractice or other risk management needs.
