With 37 years experience, I provide some of
the best service in the industry, and my client retention
rate speaks volumes to that. Ninety percent of my accounts
are still with me today after 10 years with the company.
When my clients pick up the phone to call Hylant, I personally
handle their problems, and I walk them through the process.
That’s not always the case with other brokers. Too often,
after a contract is signed with other firms, senior brokers
move on to the next prospect, and the client gets passed off
to a junior team.
It’s not fair to the client, and it’s
not an effective way to handle an account. A few years ago,
I was working with a steel mill that incurred extensive fire damage throughout
the facility. At the time, another broker was handling the
mill’s property insurance and recommended settling the
claim for $200,000.
While working with the client on another matter,
I offered to restructure the claim so that the mill could
receive $2 million. The move was great for the client, who
later shifted his property coverage to us.
I work hard on all the blocking and tackling,
which quite frankly isn't difficult. But my clients
know that when they call, I move, and when the issues become
more complex, I have the experience and expertise to get the
job done.
