In my years with Ernst & Young, I audited healthcare practices large and small, profitable and insolvent. I've seen them all, and I know the effects that insurance can play on an organization's bottom line.
But knowing this industry is just half the battle. Finding the details that make the difference and seeking out appropriate carriers can mean thousands of dollars each year to even a small organization.
When a client recently asked to renew a policy, I discovered they had previously eluded several key opportunities. Unbeknownst to their former agent, they were entitled to loss-free credits and other substantial discounts for attending risk-management seminars. What's more, one physician was misrepresented on the policy and overcharged by $24,000 over a three-year period.
As a former auditor, I instinctively delve into the details of every account. I am an aggressive advocate for my clients, and I maintain effective market relationships that put me at a distinct advantage to my competitors.
